Training line length movie

What to look at

Too much line is awkward, to little is worst. Students tend to be lost at finding the right length of line. I have solve this by using this simple trick. Get your arm and rod straight up, and if only the leader is still in the water, you have the perfect length of line to make any cast. There is no magic, whatever your size it will give you the length of line for the perfect D Loop for a standard line. No more faulty visual evaluation or stupid marking which will vanish. Up you arm and strip the line in the water. One roll cast and you’re ready to train more.

In the first shot, I have the right length and I just show it. The blood knot between the line and leader is fairly easy to recognize. My arm is not really straight up but ready for the roll cast. You won’t let pass this opportunity to practice your roll cast! So Roll Cast high and clean and back to your new learning.
